Haycorn Bomb Treesplosions

Are done and will be ready for TAP Toronto (haven't found a title for them yet):

These two either might not get done before I start packing everything up, or else they might not be dry by then. If that's the case then they'll have to wait until the One of a Kind show.

One of 4 greeny paintings I'm trying to get done before The Artist Project. Not sure if it'll happen, but heck I'll give it a shot:

Backwards & Forwards

This morning I started working on the paintings I was supposed to be done last week, but i was scraping paint off, feeling like I was going backwards, worried I'm not going to have enough ready for The Artist Project, but it had to be done.

Here's one of them, Scraping done, adjustments made, now I'm back to where I wanted to be. Just the foreground trees to go:

Toronto Artist Project coming up!

And I'm getting really nervous about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that I was accepted to the show, but I know I need to show up with really good work that competes with everything else that'll be there, and I only have a couple if weeks left to make it!

And of course, that anxiety is driven by the bottom line: I need to make some good sales so I can pay bills and continue to do this. Have a bad show and I'm several thousand bucks in the hole. A couple of bad shows and I can't help but think of quitting. Not a place I want to go, so back to the drawing board to make awesomeness! Awesomeness that people will want to put in their living rooms!

Yeah!

Anyway, so if you want to keep track of my progress, just check back here, or follow me on twitter: @marcel_g

Finally, a design!

Holy freakin crap! After umpteen pages of sketches, and designs erased from the panel, I now have one that'll do:
