Moving photo posts to Tumblr

My work-in-progress photos often look pretty craptacular when I post using Blogpress & Blogger, so I'm going to switch to Tumblr for those.

I'll still post on this blog with announcements and when I post the photos for finished paintings because this feed is what I programmed to show up on my website home page.

Update: haha, whoops, here's the link for my new Tumblr: http://marcel-g-art.tumblr.com/

cheers,
Marcel

Sketchy doodle robots world takeover

I've spent a bit of time trying to figure out what to do for my next set of paintings, and I've done some doodling as a part of that process, and that included some robots.

While I continue to plot my world takeover, er, I mean, figure out what to do next, here are some of the sketches. Enjoy!

Last new work before Art in the Park

This is the last set of paintings I'll do before the show. Still doodling, still not sure what I'm going to do with them.

I'm tempted to just do grumpy guy pictures like that sketch on the right. Would be kinda funny...

This am

It's Massive Attack and some mad scribbly action. I have no idea how this one is going to work out...

Doodles

I'm starting on a new piece, I have the panel and I know I want to do so something vertical and treeish with it, but i'm still trying to figure out how that's going to work:

Studio doodles

I'm doodling some new designs for a new set of mini-paintings I'm working on. I'm feeling kind of tapped out with my old designs, and I've been having a hard time getting anything good to come out, so I spent some time going over old photos on the puter and printing them out in the hopes that it'll jog something out of my creative brain.

I'm sure that if I spent more time outside it would be easier to come up with something, but the irony of trying to make even part of your income from art is that you spend so much time in the studio that you don't have time to get into the landscapes you're trying to paint. That means I likely won't do any canoe pieces this year, I'm sorry to say.

Ok enough rambling and back to some drawing:
